  • Dreams

I had the craziest dream last night.

I was in a facility that dealt with radiation in high amounts.  There were huge core reactors just out in the open.  The scientists took me in and asked me if i wanted to participate in their experiment.  I agreed.

Though i can't remember all accounts of my dream, i'll tell it to the best of my abilities.

he first injected me with something and told me that i would feel funny.  And i did, it felt like my mind was all over the place while fire seared the flesh from bone.  Only when the pain and chaos was at its most intense did he throw me in front of a high powered reactor.  At that point the fire that was burning me was soothed.  It felt like complete bliss.  I saw the most amazing colors.  Though it was similar to heat vision but more vibrant.
I continued to participate on their experiments and grew quite fond of the scientists.  There was another subject, like me, that was alittle more rowdy.  The same experiments didn't seem to take to his body as well as they did mine.  He began to despise the scientists and all that they stood for.  One day i over heard some controversy with this guy and the person administering unknown fluids.  He refused and lost it.  he couldn't take it anymore.  He went on a rampage, destroying the entire lab, killing all the scientists.  But when he saw me, the one who they favored because it worked for me and not him, he went tunnel vision.  going on attacking me whilst monologuing, as every evil person does.  I was able to move faster, jump higher.

Now, there were most detailed parts to this dream, but having been awake for awhile, i can't remember all of them.  I remember having to keep getting thrown into the radiation because of some reason that i can't remember. lol.

But back to what i do remember.  One of the surviving scientists had the control for whatever they put in us.  and paralyzed the evil one.  it seemed like that they injected us with was a symbiote that, for him, did not fuze with the body as it did me.  i just sat there on the floor watching as his power dripped from him.
Later i was told that there was a control for mine as well.

The rest is kinda fuzzy.  There had something to do with outside the facility too.  and i really wish that i could remember the enitre thing.  it was so fucking awesome.  It was like i was really there.

Anyways, has anyone reading this had any wierd dreams they can remember?

  • RIP Michael Jackson but media STFU!

Well, the title sums it up.  Michael Jackson was no doubt one of the greatest singers and dancers that ever existed, but i think the media is overdoing it.  Stories "Breaking News!" over a month after his death.  Even before he died you would hear, Michael Jackson touches little kids, Michael Jackson fucked up his face, blah blah blah.  I think there are more important things that the media could be covering like, health care, the war, how fast paint dries; THESE ARE IMPORTANT THINGS TOO!

    So media! ... Move on.

Do you think that the media is overdoing the Michael Jackson death coverage?  Or do you think they are spending adequate time on this story?

  • God in the eyes of modern society

Because of technology, most of what religion is based on ceases to be logical.

Back in time, technology to prove pretty much anything did not exist.  So what did people do to explain such events as hurricanes, feeling of temperature, creatures that could fly, etc?  They created a hypothetical reason.  What if, and those are the key words, what if there were beings, like us, that we couldn't see or interact with that were controlling these events?  That idea spread because who could prove that it wasn't true?  So the concept grew in popularity out of fear and wonder until it became redefined into an idea that had so much influence and tradition backing it up that even logic and proof could not sway the belief of the believers.

In modern times, most of those questions have been answered; temperature, flight, rain and wind.  Yet the concept of God has all but been proved!  And on top of that disproves the existence of a God or Gods that control these natural occurrences.  There has been no person that can prove an existence of one supreme being named God.  Not at all, not one.  So why is it that people still believe in a God?  Is it out of fear?  or maybe its ignorance stemming from the lack of understanding of science and physical proof.  Or perhaps it the wonder of what could be.  Or the promises of personal existence after dead!  Whatever it may be, these are notions that have been DISPROVED by science and CAN NOT BE PROVED currently.

    This is a brief disapproval of God.  This is not the only possible answer, just one of them.  Further questions you can ask yourself/ ideas you can think about until i write about each one in larger detail are;

    Psychology
ease people of the idea of death
help in motivation seeing that someone is watching over you
to pass the buck to someone else
to give reason to things we cannot yet explain
is it a way to keep people in line because it provokes fear?
    Eastern religions
      Fits religion into scientific ideologies
believes that God is not a being but flux that controls everything.  Brahman/Dao
The possiblity of God.  What if?
Much like we are on the verge of creating AI, what if we were AI to a higher power?
How small do things get?  how large?  What if inside each atom there was 100 galaxies?  What if our world as a part of a significantly larger world?

  • Arguing vs Agreeing

I find myself arguing more than I agree and until just recently I wasn't really aware of it.  On any given topic I would listen to what people have to say and immediately think of the opposing side to their statement and most of the time would argue that point.  On rare occasions I do agree with someone, but i found that ends the conversation quite quickly unless you change the topic right after.
Maybe I'm just doing it wrong.  I never did have great social skills.  I wonder if there are ways that I could be more agreeable.  Is that just how I treat new knowledge? By being skeptical right off the bat? That has gotta change.

    Conversation
In a conversation, do you find yourself agreeing or arguing more often?
Does anyone know how to argue politely? (ie disagree, but not in a way that will escalate emotions on either side)
    Is so, please tell me!
